Join Terrence Higgins' Trust to celebrate and commemorate 30 years of World AIDS Day with a screening of After 82.
Showing in Bristol for the first time, After 82 is an incredible documentary that looks back to the very early days of the AIDS pandemic in the UK. This frank and important movie features moving interviews about a desperate time that the world must never forget. After 82 is a remarkable testament to human compassion, strength, love and resilience and ensures that those voices will never be forgotten.
After the screening, we will be joined by Steve Keeble and Ben Lord, who created, produced and directed After 82, for a question and answer session. They will be joined by Jonathan Blake, an activist and campaigner who features in the documentary, and who was diagnosed with HIV in 1982. Jonathan was immortalised on film in the 2015 film 'Pride,' played by Dominic West.
Join us from 5.30pm for a welcome drink in the Front Room at Arnolfini. The screening will begin at 6.30pm, followed by a Q&A.
Sahir House is very excited to be presenting a special screening of the forthcoming documentary After 82 as part of World AIDS Day on Merseyside.
Five years in the making, After 82 looks back over these years using first-hand personal accounts from the people who were affected and those people and organisations that were, and still are, there to support them. What makes this documentary unique is that for many, this is the first time they have ever spoken publicly about what really happened.
